One Time & Recurring Gifts:

It’s easy to quantify the return on your investment in real estate or the stock market. But an investment in a student’s education can’t be measured. It’s exponential. It strengthens our community and it’s easy to see what a difference it makes in the lives of each of our students.

Your gift can take the form of a one-time contribution or a monthly gift. A $1,000 donation will support one student for an entire academic year in post-secondary education. Please keep in mind that when you make a promise to a student, we are committing to four years of scholarship support. As scholarship recipients, we monitor the academic progress of all Promise Scholars to ensure they are holding up their end of the bargain. In addition, Promise Scholars are also required to perform community service and mentor current students in the San Marcos Unified School District.

If making an online donation, please consider adding 3% to your contribution to cover our transaction fees and ensure your donation will be maximized. We also encourage sending donations directly to us at the following address:

If anyone can appreciate the lengths to which we have gone to support students upon graduation, it is our employees. They are the heartbeat of this district, working collaboratively to ensure every student, parent, and community member are engaged in the educational process. Employees of the San Marcos Unified School District can set up automatic contributions via payroll and a portion of each paycheck will be deducted as a charitable, tax-free donation. This is an easy way to support The San Marcos Promise on a regular basis at the level that you chose. To download Payroll Deduction Form Click Here.

Planned Giving:

You can leave a lasting legacy in our community by including The San Marcos Promise in your estate plans, making a gift of stock or setting up a scholarship in memory/honor of a loved one. Please contact our Programs Coordinator if you would like to discuss planned giving opportunities.
