I was a captain and was awarded Most Valuable Defensive Player by my coaches and teammates. I am Megan Slama and currently pursuing a Biology degree at CSUSM and hope to graduate in the year 2021. At San Marcos High School, I participated on the track and field team and was part of the hiking club and The Fellowship of Christian Athletes. My motivation to pursue a higher education was my interest in the sciences, for many jobs in this field, a college degree is needed and I hope to help people from a scientific or medical standpoint.

I am a Mission Hills High School Alumni and was involved in many memorable activities during those 4 years. For instance, I was a part of dance from my Sophomore to Senior year of High School. Dancing was the most memorable activity I’ve done in High School because I sincerely enjoyed it and made so many friends that I am still friends with now. A class that motivated me to pursue a higher education was AVID as I was a part of the program for all of my 4 years in High School.

Ever since I was at Mission Hills High School, I was fascinated by the human body; that, in turn, prompted me to be a successful student. Through a lot of hard work, I earned all As in my four years at MHHS. Additionally, I earned either a 4 or 5 on all 7 A.P. exams I took. Also, I became a Pathmaker Intern to guide my career choices. Currently, I am attending CSUSM; I am apart of the class of 2022. Unfortunately, I am undecided about my major.
