Design the class of your dreams!

For our fourth year, The San Marcos Promise is proud to offer LEAP, (Learning Enrichment to Achieve the Promise) an exciting afterschool & summer enrichment opportunity for students. This program, for students entering grades K-6 in the 2018 – 19 school year, is intended to provide enrichment courses designed and taught by talented SMUSD educators.

A recent poll of parents suggests interest in a variety of courses from character development and leadership to STEAM, VAPA, culinary arts and youth government. Our goal is to provide students the chance to take a LEAP into summer by enrolling in a course designed to build pathways to 21st Century Success. Who better to design these pathways than our very own passionate teachers?

All sessions will run Monday through Friday from 9am-noon. Teachers will perform duties as consultants for The San Marcos Promise and be paid the hourly rate, including one hour of prep time per day.  Classes must enroll a minimum of 12 students in order to be funded.  Teachers will be paid an additional 25% of the enrollment fees per student enrolled in a class beyond 12 and class sizes are capped at 24.
