College Scholarship Programs
Palomar Promise Plus
Eligible graduates of San Marcos Unified School District (SMUSD) class of 2019 will be able to attend Palomar College full-time and tuition-free for up to two years while pursuing an associate’s degree, transfer requirements, and/or a certificate program leading to job placement and a promising career.
This scholarship support is made possible through the generosity of Toni and Lee Leichtag, of blessed memory, founders of the Leichtag Foundation. During their lives, Toni and Lee were proud members of San Diego’s North County community. Both were raised in poverty and neither graduated from college. Though they became successful in business without formal education, guided by their Jewish values, they believed that achieving an education was the pathway to a better life. It was this belief that led them to support the PACE Promise scholarships for college.
