Born and raised in San Diego, Alysa has been nurtured by family and community. She recognizes the importance of having support to achieve one's goals.
Following her passion, she completed an Associate of Arts in Visual Studies from San Diego Miramar College and her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences at San Diego State University. She coupled her academic pursuits with creative outlets such as theater, acting, and various styles of dance. Her ability to think creatively, strategically, build relationships, network, and plan make her an active member in the community. She loves to volunteer with organizations like the San
Diego Lions Club, and is a seasoned public speaker and presenter.
While working at Pima Medical Institute, a medical training school, she found fulfillment in supporting students to pursue their career in healthcare. Being surrounded by like-minded people compelled her to attain a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership- Healthcare
Administration.
She is honored to begin this partnership with Project Next, and excited about guiding students as they explore career paths to find purpose and meaning in their lives and the community. One
of her life’s mottos is, “The meaning of life is to find your gift; the purpose is to give it away.” She believes that there is no limit to what you can accomplish if you are open to opportunities and
have a good support system by your side.
