OUR IMPACT

More than 6,000 students have found their next

Our programs help students explore a world of opportunities

and embark on their future with confidence.

It’s the stuff they don’t teach you in school

Career exploration. Professional networking. How to find a job, write a resume, manage your first paycheck, and so much more. Our work ensures students aren’t left to figure these things out on their own—and shows them someone cares about their next step.

What students gain from working with us

A clear plan and purpose

By knowing their strengths and exploring all the options available, students identify their own path and are excited to go out and live it.

Real-world confidence

Learning professional skills and practicing them in a safe, welcoming environment does wonders for students’ self-belief.

Valuable connections

Our students make real-world contacts in the community—people they can lean on for advice or maybe even their first job or internship.

Scholarships & financial aid

Students pursuing further education or training learn how to apply for scholarships and financial aid to support them along the way.

Professional skills

Imagine leaving high school knowing how to interview, network, and job search. Our students get a jump on adulting and they don’t have to do it alone.

Improved financial literacy

Graduating with personal finance skills also puts students ahead of the game—so the new income and expenses of adulthood don’t catch them off guard.

I always liked working with my hands but wasn't sure what I wanted to do after graduation. I didn't want to spend 4 more years in school so when Mrs. Sanchez told me about the HomeAid Program I was really interested. She helped me apply and I was accepted! It made me excited about after graduation. The only trouble was transportation and Project Next helped arrange funds so I could do it. I learned so much from the Superintendents and all the other workers who showed us their different trades. Now that I graduated from the program I am interviewing with different companies and will hopefully get a full time job soon. Thank you Mrs. Sanchez, Project Next and HomeAid for helping me get here.

- Anthony, Class of 2023

As a first-generation college student, I felt confused and overwhelmed. But I had my career coach Ms.Garcia to guide and support me. Her assistance made me feel safe, learn about my options, and ready for college. I would always email her and she would quickly respond and make time for a meeting. Her assistance over this past year impacted my future more than anyone. She guided me with college applications, essays, financial issues, emotional support and most importantly she was patient because I didn't have anyone at home to help me. Ms. Garcia would break down all the steps for my financial aid for each college and have a discussion to help me make the best decision for my future.

The Xcelerate program is amazing for students who are unsure about what they want to do in the future. This gives them the opportunity to see types of careers that require different types of education after high school and all the different job opportunities we have in our community. This program allows them to see different careers they didn’t know about. I truly recommend it to all students.
